The Murphy & Berglund, PLLC Internship Program guides law students and paralegal students with a unique hands-on learning opportunity with on-going guidance by both partners of the firm. At the firm, we know that law school teaches you a lot, but doesn’t often provide the real world experience necessary for the job market. Our internship is aimed to assist students with both.
Since 2011, the managing partners Jodi E. Murphy, Esq. and Michelle A. Berglund-Harper, Esq. have mentored multiple law students and paralegal students helping them grow into successful legal professionals. The firm has taken on an average of three interns per semester, every semester since the program began. Interns work at the office for a semester, shadowing the firm’s attorneys, learning how to research, write and think like an attorney. They attend court and mediations such as schedules permit, shadow consultations and learn about litigation, estate planning, elder law and ethics.
There are two tracks of the internship program.
We take applications each semester for the unpaid internship track. Unpaid interns get first consideration for the paid internship, but we also take applications for the paid internship opportunities.
To apply, please email your cover letter and resume to: Michelle@murphyberglund.com along with your next semester’s schedule.
